What our Accounts Payable Specialists do:

  • Contribute to Pagefreezer’s Vision and Mission by supporting integral processes in the Finance team
  • Own the Accounts Payable process:
    • Liaise with vendors regarding payments and questions
    • Get approval for invoices and entering them in the accounting system
    • Enter and process payments in various banking systems
    • Locate and organize receipts, invoices, statements, etc
    • Resolve any issues, internally and externally, to ensure accurate and timely payments
    • Reconcile invoices and payments in the accounting system, including bank accounts and credit cards
  • Calculate and file monthly taxes
  • Complete assigned month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, including posting and processing journal entries
  • Collaborate with members of the Finance team to ensure timely transfer of accurate and complete financial information, statements, and reports
    • Provide occasional support for Accounts Receivable for vacation coverage.
  • Uphold and improve internal control processes
  • Assist with the annual audit as needed

What makes you a fit:

  • Outstanding customer service communication, in both written and verbal English
  • 2+ years hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience in a B2B environment,
    • Bonus points with hands-on experience with accounts payable
    • Bonus points if you’re bookkeeping experience has been in a tech company
    • Bonus points for possessing or pursuing a degree or certificate in Finance, Accounting, Bookkeeping or other related fields
  • Strong Excel and Google Workspace skills – comfortable using common formulas and pivot tables,
  • Familiarity with cloud bookkeeping tools (such as Xero, Quickbooks, etc)
    • Bonus points for experience with Xero
    • Bonus points for experience using CRMs such as Hubspot
  • Confident in responding to requests and providing solutions to internal and external customers on the phone and in email
  • Exceptional attention to detail, good analytical thinking
  • Curious, growth-oriented mindset and solutions-oriented problem solving skills
  • Solid time-management and organization skills, and comfortable working autonomously on aligned priorities
  • Authorized to work 40 hours a week in Canada and located in the Metro Vancouver area.

    • The annual base salary range for this role is $47,000 - $57,000 CAD. The total compensation offered for this position may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, and location. It may also include non-cash rewards and benefits. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
